Client Description: IPC is a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions to global enterprises. With more than 30 years of expertise, IPC provides its systems and services to the world’s largest financial services firms, as well as to public safety; government; power, energy and utility; and transportation organizations. IPC offers its customers a suite of products and enhanced services that includes advanced Voice over IP technology and integrated network and management services to over 40 countries.
Present Role:
- Working in a Core QE group with 6-8 members team which consists of resources with diverse skill set like Domain/Manual/Automation/Platform while Promoting Effective Interaction with Team Management and Onsite Coordinator.
- Participate in project review and planning meetings with client and Team Management.
- Part of the resource and hardware planning team for Offshore. Responsible for making sure of the hardware availability to 3-4 different QE projects under IPC for smooth delivery.

Projects executed for IPC in Tech Mahindra
· MaxAccess100 (NGST - Next Generation Soft Turret)
NGST (Next Generation Soft Turret) is a web based tool which complements the hard IQ/MAX turrets when they are not readily available and can be used as a soft telephonic device. They provide more or less the same functionality and features as the hard IQ/MAX turrets.
Responsibilities:
- Writing test cases and scenarios for the NGST modules like Licensing, System Centre, Deployment and Infrastructure, setting up test environment at offshore and executing test cases.
- Involved with daily discussion with the client for product enhancements.
- Execution of NGST automation suite involving Sysview and Soft Turret Test cases through QTP.
· System Centre and IQMAX
System Center is one of the core parts of the Alliance MX telephonic system; is a Solaris machine in which all the IPC proprietary server applications like Informix database, Apache Tomcat, iView spread sheet application, Locator Alarm Monitor and many other services are deployed.
IQ/MAX Turret is a unique VOIP based telecommunication device developed by IPC and used on Trading Floors, Banks and other Financial Institutions. With modules like Button Unit, Primary Tactile Unit and Speaker Unit which makes the communication clear, fast and easy; IQ/MAX is a high performance trading tool designed for traders.
Responsibilities:
- Executed the Test cases on predefined testing environment (Solaris with Informix database).
- Creation of Test Cases for the new changes introduced on the MAX turrets and Updating old test cases.
- Regression Testing and Reporting status and progress of test case execution to the client.
- Logging and Validating CR’s logged in Clear Quest.
- Execution of IQMAX automation suite through QTP.
· OneMS (One Management System)
The project involved migration of the existing System Centre Box which is the heart of the Alliance System from the Solaris to a Linux Box and migration of the database from Informix to MYSQL. This was done keeping in mind better security features, remove Sun-Solaris support going forward, switch to a better technology in terms of the OS and provide more web-based applications to control the system centre from an administrator and user point of view.
Responsibilities:
- Involved with Resource Planning and task allocation, project scheduling, and preparation of test bed.
- Part of the testing team where primary goal was to test all legacy IPC products on the new OS – Linux and making sure all legacy applications have been ported successfully.
- Identifying test scenarios and deriving test cases for new features and functionalities introduced in OneMS.
- Understand the technical functionality for User Interface Level.
- Reporting status and progress of test case execution to the client. Responsible for sending daily execution and progress status and sending weekly tracking sheets and test reports.
- Logging and Validating CR’s logged in Clear Quest.
- Execution of Oneview automation suite through QTP.
· ESS (Enterprise SIP server)
The ESS registers and routes SIP-based calls. The ESS maintains a database of authenticated incoming and outgoing call requests from SIPX line cards or other SIP devices or endpoints. The ESS is also a SIP proxy, routing calls between ESS server farms, or domains, and onto the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network.
Responsibilities:
- Involved in validation of ESS 2.01.00-01 interop with Ally 16.02 SP1.
- Executed test cases related to SI, ARD, MRD and EL calls and validated the functionality of ESS Server in a Nexus Enterprise.
- Reporting status and progress of test case execution to the client. Logging and Validating CR’s logged in Clear Quest.
· RTD (Real Time Diagnostics)
IPC Real Time Diagnostics is a software-only solution that installs the Real Time Data Server, RTD Server onto a single Windows 2008 server (with MSSQL 2008) in an Alliance MX network. After the RTD Server is set up with Configuration, a Web-based client application, authorized domain users can observe the Alliance MX system configuration and SNMP alarms in real time with the Monitor to identify and diagnose system faults.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and updating of test cases and scenarios for RTD 2.1 with Ally 16.02 SP1.
- Setting up the Environment and executing the test cases.
- Logging and Validating CR’s logged in Clear Quest.
- Reporting status and progress of test case execution to the client.

· TCS 4.6 (TradeCentral Server)
TradeCentral Server configures and maintains IQImpact clients which are mapped with trids in System center. IQAT is the administrator tools to configure preferences for IQImpact trid and to monitor services interact with IQImpact. The components involved in this are IQImpact Client,IQAT web application runs on Flex, MySQL, Clear Quest defect tracking tool.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up the Environment for TCS 4.6 and executing the test cases.
- Logging and Validating CR’s logged in Clear Quest.
- Reporting status and progress of test case execution to the client.
