DESCRIPTION
Activities done in SAP R/3 PP module:
·         Master Data:  Holds the details of complete organization.
·         Material Master: Fields with respect to the views Basic data, MRP and Work scheduling are studied.
·         Bill of material: Components with different item categories viz., stock, non-stock, variable size and document are incorporated in BOMs.
·         Work centers: Assignments made with respect to cost centers and people. Created Location groups and move time matrices. Used statistical work centers for cumulating capacities via hierarchies.
·         Routing: Trigger points used for rework.
·         Sales and Operations planning: Forecasted demand for product groups is validated with rough-cut capacity planning profile for bottleneck work centers and transferred to demand management.
·         Long term planning: Created a scenario with simulative requirements. Results of simulative MRP run are passed on to MM for preparing scheduling agreements, to CO for cost center budgeting and to HR for shifts planning.
·         Planning Strategies: Significance of various planning strategies like make to stock, make to order, planning with final assembly, planning without final assembly, planning at assembly level is studied.
·         MRP: Concept of MRP run for different MRP procedures is analyzed. Quota arrangements are utilized for splitting the requirements against in-house/subcontracting.
·         Shop floor control: Availability check for components, capacity evaluation carried out. Analyzed the order costs at every stage from release of order, withdrawing components, confirming operations to settling the order after calculating overheads and variances.
·         Product costing: Costing run carried out for discrete manufacturing, repetitive manufacturing and make to order situations making the required settings in cost component layout, costing variant, valuation variant and costing sheet.
·         Classification: Classes used for classifying materials, work centers and also in BOM as class items.
·         Repetitive Manufacturing: Version specific RS headers and RS quantities created. Results of backflush analyzed.

Activities done in SAP R/3 MM & SD module:
Transferred data from legacy systems to SAP R/3 using Batch Data Communications.
• Modified standard layouts with SAP Script.
• Used tools such as SQL Trace (ST05), Runtime Analysis (SE30) to improve performance of coding.

Reports
• Developed a report Inventory
Transaction which shows prior transactions from history to enable the user to do quality checks (I.e. check correctness of put way, inventory moves, etc.) show lost, scrapped, etc.
• Developed a report that displays Customer-wise Sales document details.
• Developed a Vendor Payment Plan report. Vendor Payment can be scheduled output of this Report to schedule vendor payment as per giving period of time
• Generated ALV Report for Cancelled Sales Orders.

BDC
• Developed a BDC program to upload the material master data from legacy system to SAP R/3 using flat file.
• Developed a BDC program to upload Customer master data from legacy system to SAP R/3 database. This involves recording the transaction - XD01.

Sap scripts
• Worked on SAP Script Modification for Sales Order along with the Driver program.
• Involved in changing the existing SAP script layouts for Delivery Note. Print program was modified to add additional logic.

ALE/ IDoc's
• Analyzed business requirements and documentation to design ALE solutions.
• Involved in setting up the logical systems and in creation of distribution model.
• Created port definitions and RFC destinations.
• Involved in ALE configuration for the message types (MATMAS)
• Distributed material master and vendor master data across multiple R/3 systems.

Workflow
• Created Workflow for Material Master (MM01)
When a new Material master record is created Workflow is triggered and notification is sent to purchase department

There are different levels providing access to different reports.
